What is the age limit for the charter?
You must be at least (8) years old to board the Stargazer. Anyone under (18) must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over).
What should I wear to the charter?
It all depends on what time of the year you will be chartering. In the summer, we recommend light color shirts and pants. Other seasons, we believe in layers. It is typically cooler on the water. Bring t- shirts, sweatshirts, windbreakers, long sleeve shirts and long pants. We require non-slip non-marking deck shoes. Please pack using a soft bag for easier storage onboard.
What happens if the weather is inclement?
The safety of our guests, crew and vessel is extremely important; however, we go out rain or shine. We will not go out in severe rain, high seas, or thick fog. In the event of rain during the charter, Stargazer has a large, safe, heated and cooled, fully enclosed salon with wrap around windows providing 360-degree views and spacious seating. If the forecast is threatening, where it may cause harm to the Charterer, Crew or Vessel will study the possibility of rescheduling for a later date or time at no additional cost to you. Our goal is to provide a safe and positive experience for all.
Is there a bathroom on board?
Yes, Stargazer has 2 marine bathrooms for your convenience during the cruise.
How much should I expect to tip the crew?
The quality of service should dictate the amount of the gratuity, typically 15 to 20% of charter fee. The crew works extremely hard, ensuring you and your guests always stay safe and catering to your every need, ensuring your experience on Stargazer is one that you will remember for a lifetime.
What kind of food should I bring to the charter?
We will provide plenty of carbonated beverages, juice, bottled water with an assortment of daily snacks including fruit and vegetables. You are welcome to bring your own cooler with your favorite snacks or any other type of food.
Do people normally get motion sickness on the charter
No. Stargazer is very stable and the areas that we will be chartering are relatively calm. If you are not sure how you will react to possible motion sickness, it is recommended to visit your doctor prior to the charter for advice. Any anti-nausea medication should be taken the night prior and at least 2 hours prior to departure for maximum effectiveness. Over the counter motion sickness aids such as wristbands, and behind the ear remedies also work. Check with your pharmacist for recommendations.
Should I bring a music playlist to the charter?
YES. Having a good vibe playlist to stream for your day out on the water is one of our favorite essentials. We have a great selection on board including a Bluetooth sound system in the yacht. You will be set for a good day of tunes.
Can I bring my pet to the charter?
No. They will not be allowed due to safety reasons. Animals find sea travel quite uncomfortable.
What if I need to cancel my charter?
We highly recommend purchasing Cancellation and Curtailment Insurance. Charterers need to be aware that some fees will be deducted. Please visit the cancellation procedures on the contract for more details. It is worth the small expense to cover you for any unforeseen events. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
How flexible are the charter itineraries?
Stargazer will work closely with you to design your dream itinerary by sharing local knowledge and recommendations.
